I absolutely adore these fabrics by Australian designers, Amy and Carly. It's their first collection of quilting weight fabric, and I'm in love with all of them, but particularly that shade of blue! They drape beautifully and feel wonderful. I love them against a sea of white. Hopefully they'll be available soon (I'm waiting on some for the back).
I've taken lots of step by step photos so I can write up the pattern (eventually!)
I'm giving away 10" each of these three (yet to be released) prints...
as well as two of my quilt patterns (I'll also send you the pattern for the above design as well when its done).
So, how to enter - here's the fun part... I used to have a calendar of "Extreme Ironing". It was hilarious. There were people ironing on mountains, cars, tightropes etc. So that got me thinking about "Extreme Quilting"! Here's some pics of me attempting extrem(ish) quilting (hubby said "wow, you're extreme" when saw these).

| Oh yeah, I'm so cool - not! |
![]() |
| I've finally found a place to quilt where the kids can't get me! |
![]() |
| But ofcourse that doesn't last for long |
Enjoy the rest of the giveaways going on for Sew, Mama, Sew! giveaway day. Good luck! Giveaway closed - thanks!
By the way, if you like Flea Market Fancy you wont want to miss this.

Love the fabric. Just being able to finish a quilt is extreme for me.
ReplyDeleteThe most extreme quilting I can think of doing is when in labor to birth! I took a small doll quilt with me to the hospital to work on while I was in labor, but it was too painful so I didn't work on it then. And then after I gave birth I slept all day because of the pain meds I was on.
ReplyDeletewhile canoeing!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! My real-life experience of extreme quilting is very often when my cat lies behind my machine and flicks his tail in and around the presser foot. I have to physically hold his tail back with one hand and quilt with the other. I feel like I'm always on the verge of quilting a tiger cat tail into the quilt :-)
ReplyDeleteQuilting with 3 toddlers a foot... now that is extreme...
ReplyDeleteThis morning I felt a bit like I was doing some "extreme embroidery"; I was sitting on a porch swing while wearing an empty ice cream bucket as a hat (courtesy of my almost-two-year-old who thought mama's hat was the most hilarious thing ever). So I supposed I nominate "on a swing wearing a bucket as a hat" for extreme quilting ;)

I'd love to bring my machine and set it up at the picnic table camping this Summer ~ hubby can take of the kids while I quilt, right? Better make sure we get a site with power . . .
