This quilt is dedicated to Sylvie Hope, a precious baby girl who couldn't stay. My thoughts and prayers go out to her mother, my wonderful friend, Lauren (who miraculously survived the birth) and her beautiful family. I couldn't imagine the pain.
May the light and love of the Saviour continue to shine in their lives, especially in their darkest hours, reaching out and giving comfort and hope that only He can give. They are an eternal family and Sylvie will forever be theirs.

My heart goes out to the family. My cousin and his wife lost one of their twin girls, born way too early, this summer. Coincidentally, her middle name was also Hope.

ReplyDeleteOh Kate, this is just absolutely beautiful, I have shed some tears today for your friend's family. I myself had terrible complications (un-diagnosed pre-eclampsia) with our son who was born at 28 weeks, we almost didn't survive the birth, we were one of the lucky ones but we always spare a thought for those who were less fortunate. Much love to you and your friend's family. Thinking of you and hoping this helps them to get through such a difficult time. Heather xox
